returns to the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston's historic downtown district this October 1 - 4 with exciting new programs and 60 leading galleries from around the world. Texas Contemporary's fifth edition will afford new opportunities for engagement with the city's thriving arts community.

The Other Mexico is a focus section of this year's Texas Contemporary, highlighting seven top galleries from Mexico City. Curated by Mexico City - based independent curator Leslie Moody Castro in partnership with Bill Arning, Director of Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, the presentation will feature Yautepec, Anonymous Gallery, Galeria Enrique Guerrero, Parque Galeria, Diagrama, MARSO and Casa Maauad,, reflecting Mexico City's rapid materialization as an incredibly unique focal point of the global art forum.
The Community Artists' Collective programs are supported in part by grants from the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance, the Texas Commission on the Arts, H-E-B and through collaborations with community organizations. The Collective's mission is toprovide the educational and cultural link among African American artists and all communities, inspiring unlimited creativity. The Collective is a member of Fresh Arts.
