Excited Kyle Eastmond signs new Bath contract

Bath have announced centre Kyle Eastmond has renewed his contract with the Aviva Premiership club.

Eastmond, who has won six England caps, switched rugby codes in 2011 when he joined Bath from St Helens.

The 26-year-old's last Test match appearance was against South Africa in 2014.

"I feel like we've started a really exciting time at Bath," Eastmond said.

"I don't think there are many rugby clubs with such a positive training and playing environment that is focused on making us the best players we can be, which makes this the ideal place for me to be playing."

Bath head coach Mike Ford added: "Kyle is a big part of our drive for success, so I am very happy he has committed himself to the club.

"He is part of a young back-line here that has already achieved some great things, but there is a lot more to come from them."
