Hi, friend. It’s almost October, and here in Carolina, the coming of October is the change of seasons at its best. But, I have to say, I was getting uneasy about it, just a little bit. And sometimes when I get nervous, I try to make people laugh, only because I'm not sure what else to do (hence the bad joke in the subject line of this email). But I figured it out. Whew. More about that in a minute.... 

October brings crisp evenings and colorful vistas. Cinnamon becomes much more appealing, and I can finally pull my favorite sweaters out of the closet. (I love sweaters! Scarves, too.) And, how about that peach chalcedony in the GMA Enlightenment studs … yummy October orange!  

October also means that my bench starts to get a little crowded, because the holiday orders are coming in, and I’m also trying to make sure we have plenty of new pieces on hand for you when you’re ready to do your holiday shopping for those you love, perhaps even including yourself! ;-) 

So, that's what got me a little worked up. A little uneasy. I want to be sure you can get what you need, when you need it. Yet, as my business has grown, it has become increasingly important for me to set things up to support how I work best, while also honoring the needs of my family. So, the GMA studio doesn't follow a regular retail model with "open" hours every day, even though we have appointments available every week and we still have just as much awesome jewelry on hand as always. Many of you are located all over the world with the studio a bit far away, so shopping online is always an option. But, for my local friends, I'm around a lot, and I am always happy to see you. If you catch us here, come on in! If you want to be sure that we're here before you make the drive downtown, call first.
