Congratulations To Gurung Family CHWC Newest Homeowners

CHWC worked together with Chief Properties to help the Gurung family achieve their homeownership dream. They also came to CHWC monthly Homebuyer Education class. Do you know that homeowners who have attended a pre-purchase homebuyer education class are 30% less likely to default on their mortgages. The social and economic implications are far-reaching for long-term sustainability of families and neighborhoods.

HDR's Doug Lisak, Kansas City Region President, and Jeff Lipp, Associate Vice President, toured CHWC's Splitlog Farm on Friday, August 5. Special thanks to HDR for a $15,000 grant to support the expansion of Splitlog Farm. This grant will help us create a greenspace that is host to a natural playground, seating area, and pollinator-friendly, edible landscaping. When complete, this project will increase our growing space by 20%. Learn more
