Co-produced by the Ulysses Theatre and MESS festival of Sarajevo and first performed on 15 August 2015 on the Island of Brijuni, the play Antigone - 2000 years later will be performed on Monday and Tuesday, 15 and 16 August at 9:30 PM in Komolac, on the site of a former warehouse at the Ogarići street.

This play is a theatrical exploration of an ancient mythical story written by Sophocles, in which he described the distressful period of the birth of the European civilization and victory over barbarism. Certainly acclaimed name in this great ensemble is Rade Šerbedžija in the role of Creon. Theater critic Nataša Govedić wrote that "Šerbedžija in each stage of performance retains the severity we have not seen for decades on local stages, perhaps since the great tragic rolls of Fabian Šovagović. (...) Antigone directed by Lenka Udovički affects tragic center not only Sophocles pieces, but also the post-Yugoslav war trauma - almost every house where was the house of the king's loss, as well as the house in which everybody knew well their neighbourhood executioners". She added that this is the play of very strong performative value as well as the most integral piece by Lenka Udovički's team so far.

Dramaturge of the play is Željka Udovičić Pleština, Costume designer is Bjanka Adžić Ursulov, Set designer is Mirna Ler and Composer of music is Nigel Osborne. Antigone, Oedipus’ and Jocasta’s daughter is played by young actress from Sarajevo Maja Izetbegović, Ismene, Antigone’s sister by Dženana Džanić, Creon, ruler of Thebes, Jocasta’s brother, Antigone’s and Ismene’s uncle is played by Rade Šerbedžija, Haemon, Creon’s and Eurydice’s son, Antigone’s fiancé by Ermin Bravo.  Damir Urban is Teiresias, blind seer, Katarina Bistrović-Darvaš is Eurydic, Jelena Lopatić is Choragos and Vedad Suljagić is Boy.

Bus transfers are organized and included in the ticket price. Bus leaves from Pile at 8:30 PM and stops on all regular bus stop until Komolac.
