If you are interested in working at Market on a regular basis, please consider submitting an application for employment. We're looking for a Market assistant who works at least two Saturdays per month from 6:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The City of Bloomington Council for Community Accessibility will host a celebration to mark the27th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on Saturday, July 22 from 9 a.m. until noonat Plaza One-A on the B-Line Trail next to Farmers' Market. Join in challenges that will test your knowledge of the ADA and connect you with disability issues you may never have thought of before. Free parking on Saturdays is available north of City Hall in Red permit spaces and in the IU EM-S (formerly knows as "C" Permit) parking lot located on the east side of Morton Street, just north of the Farmers' Market.
On-street parking is available at the meters for $1/hour. Additional pay parking ($0.50/hour) is available in the Morton Street Garage (entrance on Morton Street between 6th and 7th Streets.)
The Farmers' Market has received $70,000 in grant funding in the last three years to offer the Double Market Bucks program.
During Saturday Market hours, go inside City Hall and use your food stamp card to purchase Market Bucks. Market Bucks are available in $3 increments and can be used like cash to buy farm products from Market vendors.
For every $3 in food stamp benefits you exchange, we will give you $6 in Market Bucks. Draw up to $18 in food stamp benefits, and receive up to $36 in Market Bucks.
