Our Fist Sunday in Xi'an

We’re happy to inform everyone that we’ve made it to Xi’an. We’ve been here for a week now and we’re settled into our new community. On Sunday I preached to a small group of believers that we will be working with here. Pastor Xu and his wife have been here for a year and they’ve accomplished a lot. We are excited to be partnering with them.

I have begun the application process to enroll in Xi’an Communication University to keep a visa. I hope to begin studying there next semester to provide a dependable, long-term visa for our family. We are presently on a tourist visa which requires us to leave the country every sixty days. This is expensive and inconvenient for a family of five. Please pray that the Lord will allows us to smoothly make this visa change, as visa laws have been changing quite a bit as of late.

The next stage of our ministry will be different as we are endeavoring to plant a church rather than working with a pre-existing one. Our main focus will be on getting involved in our community with the hope of leading people to Christ and discipling them. Now that are boxes are unpacked, can begin the work.

In Christ,
Neal, Beth, Lois, Abigail, and Naomi
