Precognitive Dreams and Visions
by Joy Star
Precognitive Dreams, as well as meditative visions that are prophetic, are not so uncommon. One example that comes to mind at the moment involves the Dalai Lama who spoke about Tibetans who lived in Tibet prior to the uprising in '59. They did not know about trails and mountain passes through the Himalayas leading to India. Yet some of them had very clear dreams of these tracks years before. Then when they had to actually follow such trails, they found that they were already familiar to them because of dreams that they had previously.
There are also accounts of people experiencing the sense of leaving their body and perceiving things in the external world which were later able to be confirmed. This can also be considered as precognition.
Mystical states often cannot be described in words to those who have never experienced such states because the feeling quality is highly inarticulate. Precognitive or intense mystical experiences whether in a dream or meditation have the quality of timelessness and one feels not in control. The experience-er feels as if they are grasped or held by a power that is beyond them. These experiences are difficult to put into words much less to convey to someone who has never experienced such a state.
Manipulating matter and outcomes with the mind as well as foreseeing the future are all said to be produced through gaining experience in achieving mystical states. The practice of meditation and yoga enable these transcendent experiences to occur spontaneously and sometimes frequently when needed.
Experiences and abilities involving mystical experiences have been reported throughout history on a cross-cultural level; therefore nothing new yet because of such wide and consistent reports, it's difficult to deny their validity and importance to a human soul.
Personally, it seems to me that it only takes conscious awareness of the experience of one's own mind recognize these precognitions and visions when they occur. And I think they do pretty regularly.
You will often hear people say such things for example as "I KNEW that was going to happen" or "I knew we shouldn't have gone that way". Or when a result occurs they will remember that they had either a positive or negative intuition about it beforehand. And then they quickly dismiss or ignore it without any more thought which dulls future precognitive dreams, visions, and feelings.
The more we pay attention to mystical experiences, the more we will recognize, appreciate and utilize their messages in the future for our own benefit and the benefit of others.
