It’s officially autumn! And, though  pumpkin spice lattes are a tad over hyped, the pumpkin patch at the Dallas Arboretum is not! Thousands of pumpkins and gourds are on display in a Wizard of Oz themed wonderland. Take a look here.

If you’re in the Dallas area, get yourself to the Arboretum. Cool weather may not be here yet,  but enjoying these gourd-geous masterpieces may be just what you need to get yourself into the fall state of mind.

I’ll be picking up some pumpkins as soon as the farmers market or local church has a patch. My front porch and bread bowl need some seasonal flair, so a trip to the farmers market is on the docket. My favorite gourds are the warty, funny looking ones. I’m also a fan of mixing a few simple, traditional orange pumpkins with some fancier white Cinderella and green varieties. A few mums and an assortment of gourds makes for a personalized autumnal porch.
