Drivers heading in to Manchester along the M62 are being warned of huge queues, after a serious crash in the early hours of the morning, which brought traffic to a stand-still.
There are still delays of more than an hour following the crash, on the stretch of road between Oldham and Rochdale.
Oil spilt onto the carriageway and all lanes were closed following the two vehicle crash, at about 1am this morning.
Two lanes remain closed on the westbound stretch of road between junction 22 for Rishworth Moor, and junction 21 for Milnrow.
The delays are not expected to clear until about 10.30am. Highways England tweeted that two lanes remain closed for oil and debris clearance work.
There are delays of about 70 minutes along the route.

One person in hospital
We’ve just had an update from police about the incident that has led to this situation.
The accident was between three vehicles and not two vehicles, a police spokesman has confirmed.
One person has been taken to hospital with serious, but not life-changing, injuries.
It had earlier been reported that the whole of the M62 westbound was shut until around 6.10am. One lane has now been reopened.
A spokesman for GMP said:
We were called at 0.20am to junction 21 of the M62 Westbound to reports of a crash between a car and a truck. Then another car crashed into the vehicles.
The vehicles involved were a Toyota Corolla, a Volkswagen Passat and a truck.
One person has suffered serious, but not life threatening, injuries.
