Making Religion Real in Our Lives:
Issues of Forgiveness

in the context of our own community
and our own families.

We have many examples of people walking away in anger or with hurt feelings, many cutoffs, etc. in our community. We focus on forgiveness at Yom Kippur but we do not change within our own community and perhaps within our own families. How do we actually take the next step and operationalize forgiveness throughout the year? We will use the story of Joseph and his brothers as our example. If you have a Tanakh handy, you might want to bring your own.
