Champlain College confirmed on Friday the death of a current student due to a traumatic brain injury.
“It is with great sadness that we report on the passing of current student Connor Glassett of Bainbridge, [New York],” a statement on the college’s Facebook page reads. “Connor's parents Kevin and Elise Glassett informed Champlain College of this unexpected loss this morning."
Glassett, 21, died in Syracuse, New York, on Thursday, after receiving a traumatic brain injury following a fall that was reported by his family last weekend.
The college said Glassett had been a senior and was majoring in secondary teacher education.
A team on campus will provide support to his friends and classmates.
