After the driver was pulled out, it was noticed a nine-year-old girl was trapped.

'She told us that her youngest daughter was under the vehicle,' said Dayna Gibson to BayNews9, who stopped to help. 'All of us ran around to the other side and we saw the little girl's arm sticking out from under the vehicle.'

Other drivers got out and tried to roll the SUV back over to get the girl out but it wouldn't budge.

Eventually, more people stopped to help and they were able to push the car back onto its wheels, freeing the girl.

Gibson estimates as many as 50 people pulled over on the busy highway to pitch in.

'We achieved what would have been impossible by coming together,' Gibson said. 'There were people from all walks of life there, it didn't matter.'

'All these people ran from their vehicles… and helped to flip the truck back over and get a little girl out.'

The drama was captured on Facebook by Veronica Casteleiro who said the entire event felt very surreal.

'Just when I think humanity has lost its way, I see the kindness of others. I didn't see anyone worried about race or politics, the only concern was the lives of those in that car.'

Although the three passengers were unconscious at some point, remarkably none of them were seriously injured in the crash which happened.

The girl was taken to Tampa General Hospital, along with her mother and another child.

The SUV ended up flipping over after one of its right tires ruptured. The driver lost control and collided with a guardrail.
