First responders say they found an elderly woman who had been sitting in a chair for so long that her skin had actually molded to it.

According to the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office, the woman is 75 years old, weighs 550 pounds and she had not moved from the chair in more than a year.

Deputies say the conditions she was living in were so bad and filthy, firefighters had to wear protective suits to rescue her.

The woman was reportedly so weak, her bones were breaking when EMS was attempting to carry her out of the house.

The woman is now being treated at the University of Toledo Medical Center.

A member of the woman's church called 9-1-1 to report the situation.

According to a report from the sheriff’s office, a man brought the woman food for ten years, but never saw her out of her chair and was used to the smell.

The house has since been condemned and the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
