LOST ALPHA - DEVELOPER'S CUT
Hey, hey hey! We are here, as we promised a month ago. It was a long road up until now, but there is finally a sun shining over us brightly. After almost three years, we can finally present you Lost Alpha Developer's Cut. We decided to release it as a patch for now, but after some hotfixes, we will create a full release of Lost Alpha containing all patches and DC as well! The files will be uploaded soon, and they will need to be authorized by ModDB crew, so be patient, and in the end... Have Fun!
Here is a little tutorial: After you download the DC patch, which is quite big (around 2.3gb packed) you need to unpack the zip file (with winrar or any archiving tool) to a clean directory, or to your desktop. But before you would do anything with those files, don't forget, that you need to have Lost Alpha patched up to the 3rd public patch (1.3003) first! If you don't have that installed, DC won't work at all. So if you have LA installed and patched up till 1.3003, run the DC patch installer and wait until it finishes. You can now run the game with the well known icon on your desktop. You will quickly notice the version number in bottom left corner, saying: "Lost Alpha ver. 1.4000 Developer's Cut". If you see that, then you are ready to play the game. Have fun, and if you have questions or something to report, send email to info@dezowave.com or post here on the chat window, and be patient, someone will surely respond.

No need for Shadow of Chernobyl, you just need the full release of LA which is standalone, then the 1.3003 patch.

I just finished my first playthrough of Mass Effect Andromeda, I thought I could rest a bit, but nope. The Zone is calling.
It's been a hell of a ride, thank you lads. Never played Lost Alpha despite being available, wanted to wait for the DC to get the full experience.
I guess now it's time for Lost Beta (Clear Sky) and then Lost Charlie (Call of Pripyat).

Since i never played ANY Stalker Game before (just starting with SOC Complete) is it recommended to play the "Vanilla" Version first or does DC contain the default Main Story/Quests so that i know what its all about?

Hello, i've been waiting since 2014 for this, and i wanted to ask if you could possibly put it in one big package, either install or already pre installed folder, it would greatly reduce the number of people installing patches wrong or any bugs, if you do it and test it , it would be great. When can we expect such a package?
They will release a full package but not right now (i read the article).
I read the full article too but it is not specified when the full package is, i'm not downloading unless it's a full package to avoid errors.

VERY GOOD JOB Dez0wave, keep up the good work. Don't mind people who tell you something like "You suck, the plot sucks, the mod completely sucks,GTFO of here...etc".
As someone half-played Lost Alpha 1,3(due to real life routines, courses...), I really appreciate your work.
1,3 version was quite satisfying to play aside from a few issues (such as broken car control and some bugs) because Lost Alpha features an awesome sandbox experience with brand new and redesigned areas, underground tunnels etc. Sandbox experience is maybe even better than Vanilla games.
Some S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s condemned the Devs because of the Illuminati plot, but it should be noted Dez0wave told that they designed their "dream-game". Lost Alpha is THE S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game from Dez0wave's perspective, and it's completely FREE to download. So one should think twice before condemning and criticizing(in this case,trolling) the Devs, casting aside everything beautiful because of the plot.

Congratulations to all of you. Just heard the good news as I looked for the link as I wanted to recommend Lost Alphe to somebody and lo and behold Developer's Cut.
Now to see if it also fixed the cringey dialogue, bad animations and force loluminati stuff.

Im having a problem. When i try to install, it doesnt let me to choose correct directory so it ends installing in some map and my game is in different map.
I mean folders.
"BANDIT POLKA INCLUDED" certainly the best feature of this mod. :)
I'm looking for help with an FPS issue I have. Is there a guide for what video settings should be on/off for optimal performance? I run a GTX 1080, i7-6700K, and 16GB of memory and find my frames going from 60 down to 25 all the time (using v-sync). I tried turning off v-sync, lowering grass density/distance, using less AA, but nothing seems to work. I do have DX11 turned on, should I go back to 9 or 10.1?
My GPU is AT MOST at 25% utilization, CPU has 2 cores (out of 8 virtual) at most 60% utilization, so I don't think it's hardware related.
Also, I noticed after I sleep or a blowout occurs, everything goes back to 60 FPS. Then, something triggers or spawns in the world and it goes back down to 25. Any help is appreciated.
Did a clean install and followed all installation instructions accordingly. My game does not launch, only crashes (all settings maxed out dx11). I changed the settings to DX10 and it worked, accept whenever I look up I experience a major drop in frame rate (game totally unplayable). Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Or what causes this?

Thank you so much for your tons of work over the years, to keep the idea of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. -how it has been during these early days- alive. I've just finished another trip through your older patch some weeks ago, so it will be much more fun to encounter new or different stuff inside the zone now. Heading to the north again and again and again... :o)
I cant start the game, always get the error "cannot open file fsgame.ltx check your working folder " whats should I do ? tried looking for answer's on google and cant seem to get it working, all help appreciated !
