Lace up your hiking boots and tune up your trail bikes and gear, Michiganders: Michigan Trails Week kicks off this Saturday, Sept. 23. We have more than 12,500 miles of state-designated trails to explore; so many that one of Michigan's lesser-known national nicknames is "The Trails State."
In honor of Trails Week, we're polling readers to find out where the best trails are in the state. Below is a short list of some of the most popular trails in Michigan; vote for up to three favorites -- or write in your own candidate!
