I am starting a petition asking Manchester City Council to install recycling points at Alexandra Park. I'm the chef at the Tea Hive at the Pavilion opposite the pond, lovely location and beautiful wildlife. We provide customers with takeaway cups, etc. We also provide bins at the cafe which get recycled, however the bins provided by the council in front of the cafe and around the park are all for general waste.

I think now the council has downsized wheelie bins in the local area to encourage recycling, the same type of encouragement should be given to recycling in the park.

By having an opportunity to recycle in the park we would be lowering the amount of litter being dropped generally in and around the park and therefore creating a nicer environment for wildlife and people alike.
