This NFL Team APOLOGIZES To Local Military For Protesting The Anthem – Are You BUYING This?

They say they’re sorry now, but do YOU think they’re sincere?

The Jacksonville Jaguars have issued an apology letter to the Director of Military Affairs and Veterans in Jacksonville for their anthem protest on September 24.

Most of the Jaguars stood for the Star Spangled Banner while interlocking arms, including owner Shad Khan, the first time an owner had taken part in the protest.  There were about a dozen or so players that chose to kneel.

What made this protest so very egregious was that the players were at Wembley Stadium in London, England — foreign soil — when they protested, and all stood respectfully for the playing of God Save The Queen.

Epic Fumble.

Jaguars President Mark Lamping sent a letter to the director of military affairs and veterans in Jacksonville saying the team was “remiss in not fully comprehending the effect of the national anthem demonstration on foreign soil has had on the men and women who have or continue to serve our country.” The letter was forwarded to Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry on Monday and available via his public email.

Watch them here:

This protest has morphed into a general bellyaching of a host of different progressive issues:

Maybe they can get tampon machines in the NFL locker rooms, too. #Equality #TakeAKnee

Because if some women have penises, then ipso facto, some men have vaginas. Obviously. The newfound interest in women’s issues is surely indicative of this. Unless I have my intersectionality wrong. I can never keep that straight.

Back to the Jaguars and their ‘apology’:

“This was an oversight and certainly not intended to send a message that would disparage you, our flag or our nation,” Lamping wrote to Bill Spann, director of Jacksonville’s military affairs and veterans department…

…”The notion never entered the minds of our players or anyone affiliated with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but today we can understand how the events in London on September 24 could have been viewed or misinterpreted,” Lamping wrote. “We owe you an apology and hope you will accept it.”

The letter sent by Lamping was dated October 6, but it was forwarded to Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry on Monday.

It’s unclear why the letter was forwarded to Mayor Curry, but it could have something to do with Curry blasting the team on September 25, ‘I stand and cover my heart for the pledge and the anthem. I think it’s stupid to do otherwise. The U.S. Constitution protects the right for a lot of people to do a lot of stupid things. I am a Constitutional Conservative, so I respect the wisdom of our Founders.

But why now?

Well, perhaps it’s because of this:

The Jaguars announced they distributed 56,232 tickets for their home game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, a 27-17 loss that was the franchise’s ninth in its last 10 games at EverBank Field. It was the team’s fewest number of tickets distributed for a Jaguars home game since 2009.

A shirt that aptly describes the NFL — No Fans Left.

Buy it now at Keep and Bear.

NFL’s TV ratings are plummeting as more players refuse to stand for the national anthem. It’s hard to believe that a nation that has given these players the opportunity to achieve so much is so easily disrespected. Even worse, consider the men and women who have laid down their lives so that these athletes could live in a relatively safe country and enjoy their fame and fortune.

Hard-working, patriotic Americans don’t want to watch a bunch of whiners play football. They want to watch winners.

And the best part? This shirt is made in the USA, printed in the USA, on an American-Made t-shirt press!

*** VETERAN OPERATED ***

Taking a knee isn’t being a badass.

Check out what being a badass really means:

Does your grandpa go off on paltry politicians, whether they be Democrats or Republicans? Does he get misty eyed when he talks about God and Country and America’s future? And have you ever heard him scream, ‘Awww … Hell no!’ when Rosie O’Donnell starts yapping on television? If you answered yes to one, or all of the above, then your gramps will love Doug Giles’ latest book, My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass.

Don’t be fooled by the title — this ain’t just for Grandpa.
The Snowflake Generation — and the rest of America — needs a good ol’ dose of ‘Grandpa wisdom’.
Especially if that Grandpa is Doug Giles.
You’ll love My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass just as much as Grandpa will.

Share if you think that the Jaguars really fumbled this one
