Hello OneLife friends & family,

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE! 

Oil Slick you ask?  We sadly found that someone dumped a bunch of oil in front of our building sometime last night or early this morning. With the help of the rain it has made it's way down the street into our large parking lot.  We have reported this to the city and are in the process of cleaning this up but we wanted to make sure you knew so when you come to church on Sunday you are extra careful walking/driving in the large parking lot as it could still be slippery.

On to more exciting things!  This week's OneLife eNews letter has lots of new info about KidsLife & Mix events, OneLife Tutoring Pre-Thanksgiving Party, our new Advent Sermon Series, DC Fun Facts, New Artwork, The Young Adult Winter Retreat, and more so please read on to get all the details!

ADVENT IS COMING  -  Our new sermon series begins the 1st Sunday in December -  the beginning of the advent season.  The series is called "Advent - You're Invited" & in it we will be invited into a different way of engaging the season looking at the themes of waiting, gathering, & incarnation as seen in scripture in comparison to our culture.  We can't wait for this season and series to begin.  Please be praying for the final preparations for this & for people to invite to join us for its launch!

NEW KIDSLIFE HAPPENINGS - Don't miss these awesome KidsLife happenings
  • Join KidsLife in the Wedgwood Community Crawl from 4-6pm in the hood with a both next to Café Javasti.  
  • New Friday Night Blast November 17 th from 6:30-8pm more details coming soon!  
  • KidsLife Game Day next Sunday October 29 th during our service.
  • KidsLife will be doing art for the sanctuary for Advent
  • The launch of our always awesome KidsLife Christmas Choir is coming in November get ready for super cuteness!

ONELIFE TUTORING PRE-THANKSGIVING DINNER NOVEMBER 16th -  Here is your opportunity to serve for one evening:  Cooks, servers, & clean-up crew are needed to help!  OneLife Tutoring invites all students, their families, volunteer helpers & all of the tutoring team to a full Thanksgiving turkey dinner at 6pm. To help out email, text, or call the Tutoring Director Lauren Heerschap at 206.719.3752 or fill out your connection card at church & she will be in touch.  Thanks in advance for helping make this night a success!

WINTER RETREATS FOR ALL   -  There are some amazing winter retreats coming this fall/winter at Lakeside Bible Camp for all ages.  Find one that works for you. You'll be glad you did!

THE MIX YOUTH COOPERATIVE EVENTS - The Mix Youth Cooperative also has some awesome events coming up so make sure to mark you calendars so you don't miss them.
  • November 3 rd - Ladies Night 6:30-9:30pm cost is $5 & includes PIZZA!
  • November 10 th - Board Game Night from 7-9pm
  • December 15 th - White Elephant & Christmas Movie Night.

OUR NEW DINNER CHURCH - It's official!  The Dinner Church is awesome!  We
have had great numbers, the food has been fantastic, the music is lovely, the atmosphere is beautiful & the Dinner Church team has done an excellent job of prepping, setting up, serving, and cleaning up.  Please continue to pray for this as we go for round.07 tomorrow night.  If you're interested in learning more about this please talk to our Director Ben Hurst or go to www.magnusoncommunitydinner.com  

DC FUN FACT - Did you know in the 6 weeks of our DC's existence we have connected with 50-60 adults & 15-20 kids?  Many of these are families that have come multiple times & we have also built great relationships with Solid Ground the organization the runs the housing facilities in Magnuson Park.  
God is on the move!
