BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Lee pitcher Trenton Hill was named the Gulf South Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday after a dominating opening start on Sunday afternoon.
Hill cruised over five innings of work versus Albany State last week. He fanned nine in the contest and allowed just one run, unearned.
The Bentonville, Ark., native helped his cause, getting it done at the plate with a double, triple and three RBI.
Hill and the Flames will look to remain unbeaten on the young season as they welcome in Tiffin University (Ohio) for a three-game set beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday from Olympic Field.
