Short Films on View at Food and Drink Museum

James Boo, a filmmaker, has made more than 30 one-minute films about New Yorkers and their various food traditions. Eight of the films will play at the Museum of Food and Drink in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, from July 27 to Sept. 3. For opening night, Mr. Boo will moderate a panel with Denisse Lina Chavez of El Atoradero, Michael Rogak of JoMart Chocolates, and Helen You of Dumpling Galaxy. Panelists will provide food at the opening-night reception: “1 Minute Meal: Stories of Food and Community in New York,” July 27 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., $15 ($10 for students and seniors), 62 Bayard Street (Lorimer Street), 718-387-2845, mofad.org.
