Ohio Delegation:

 Thank you for the hard work many of you have put forth to protect and restore the historic tax credit.

 Ohio's future hinges on attracting and keeping young people and entrepreneurs to counteract our population loss. We need cities that people and businesses want to move to, and where the community thrives.  Historic Tax Credits makes that happen.

 Ohio has the third most historic buildings in the country, and it is proven that rehabilitating these historic buildings works.  Historic Tax Credits are the economic engine that attracts development, with 100% of the risk borne by the developer and not a penny of credit is paid out until a project is 100% complete. If we lose the credit now, our forward momentum will stop, and the coasts will win.

 We the undersigned people and organizations hereby urge you to do what you can to restore the 20% historic tax credit, so that Ohio will continue to move forward. Last year 2016, estimated qualified rehabilitation expenses from Ohio’s part II were over $975 million.  It is estimated over 10,000 jobs are associated with the rehabilitation projects in Ohio. And the results in our cities has been phenomenal.

 We support  Ohio’s future through Historic Tax Credits.
