Leslie Jones has been very vocal in the past about designers choosing not to dress her for red carpet events. Last June, while promoting the film Ghostbusters, the actress tweeted, “It’s so funny how there are no designers wanting to help me with a premiere dress for movie. Hmmm that will change and I remember everything.” And so it did, as she stepped onto the red carpet at Sunday night’s 2017 Emmy Awards looking more stunning than ever, wearing a black embellished gown designed by Christian Siriano.
Christian began a relationship shortly after Leslie’s initial tweet, replying with two waving emojis, suggesting he’d be more than willing to dress the gorgeous star. Subsequently, in an interview with Time, Christian put the sentiment into words, sharing, “I love Leslie and can’t wait to make her something fabulous to wear. I dress and support women of all ages and sizes.” She went on to stun in a bright red off-the-shoulder gown from the designer at that very Ghostbusters premiere.

Well, the duo has done it again, knocking it out of the park at this evening’s event. Leslie posted an image of herself in the sheer-bodice, long-sleeved black gown (which, by the way, boasted an up-to-there slit) on Instagram, sharing, “I Just Feel AMAZING!!!!! Thank you @csiriano for making this beautiful dress and for my stylist @bmcstylez for putting it all together!!!”
What’s more, Leslie Jones recently made headlines in the fashion world, sitting front row at Christian’s show during New York Fashion Week, having what seemed to be the best time out of anyone, cheering on her friends on the runway.
