Asbury Hotel offers free hotel job training

ASBURY PARK - The city's new boutique hotel is offering a free hotel industry training program featuring sessions led by industry leaders and professionals in the hospitality world.

The Salt School, which is led by The Asbury Hotel, will give priority to Asbury Park residents who apply. When the program ends, participants will be considered for employment at the The Asbury Hotel, which is set to open on May 26.

“Salt School is looking for outgoing and passionate individuals who want to gain important skills related to the hotel industry and have the opportunity to apply for open positions at The Asbury and have the potential to become hospitality leaders of the future,” a statement from the Salt School said.

Asbury Park hotel will be center for entertainment

The Salt School sessions begin Feb. 20 and run for 10 weeks at the Monmouth County Boys and Girls Club in Asbury Park. Session topics include guest experience, human resources and workplace behavior, revenue management, hospitality and the law, food and beverage, and technology.

Classes will take place on Saturdays at 10 a.m. Applications can be submitted at salthotels.com/saltschool.
