Many of you have been already using this RealBird feature, and then, many of you have not, so we thought it's time for a little overview of the benefits and how-tos of managing sold and pending listing information on RealBird.
Most users first add a listings to RealBird when it first hits the market. The benefits of doing this is pretty straightforward: you get immediate listing syndication, search engine marketing with powerful SEO and also other ways to increase your listing's reach via Craigslist and ActiveRain embed code, listing widgets, social media marketing tools etc. When a property originally listed on RealBird becomes pending sale or is sold, you obviously have to change its status on RealBird as well, from active to the appropriate one. Rather than deleting the active listings from RealBird, we suggest to change its status to Pending or Sold via the Edit page. It only takes a few clicks as the screenshot shows below: Change the status to e.g. Sold/Rented and update the price to reflect the final price (if different than the one it was listed at) Click "Publish" at the bottom of the page to finalize the change.
So what are the benefits of doing so:
- Your RealBird property website is already in the Google index by the time it turns sale pending or sold. Maintaining the listing information (with the updated status) will maintain it in the Google index as well, hence delivering ongoing organic search engine traffic to it. And since the property status is now clearly marked pending or sold and with the included links to your current active listings and your property search tool, most of your visitors arriving to your sold property website will continue searching with you. In short, maintaining off-market listing information on RealBird will keep the organic search traffic channel open and will deliver visitors to your other properties and also to your property search application.
- Building your brand: all of your RealBird property websites are private labeled for you and carry your contact information and social media profile links. The more sold properties you have on the Web that are accessible by consumers, the more touch-point you create with them. In short, maintaining sold property websites on RealBird can help you win more business and new listings.
- And here comes the fun part. The recent updates on the new RealBird Mobile Real Estate website service now shows your pending and sold properties as well. You can now use your smartphone and iPad to showcase not only your current inventory, but also your recent sales. Consumers can also access this information via your QR code or vanity mobile website domain name. It can act as a great tool for winning more listings as well by carrying your portfolio of sold listings with you everywhere and by impressing prospective clients with your cutting-edge tech tools.
