The lower downtown (LoDo) area of Denver is the oldest area of the city, as well as its cultural center. This revitalized neighborhood is filled with hip bars, nightclubs and restaurants. It is also an incredibly popular location for Colorado tech companies. The zip code, which encompasses LoDo, 80202, was by far the state’s most well funded zip code last year. LoDo's borders extend from Cherry Creek to 20th Street, and from the Platte River to Lawrence Street. Expect a mixture of well dressed urbanites, tourists and office workers.

Word on the street: “Denver is an incredible city to work in because of the booming tech scene, the proximity to the mountains and all of the epic outdoor activities they hold, the craft beer, the old, character-soaked buildings, and so much more. We love working in LoDo specifically because it's the energetic, vibrant hub of downtown that attracts talent from across the state and the nation. The proximity to great restaurants, bars, Coors Field, the Pepsi Center and the Performing Arts Center make it easy to hold after-work team bonding events, networking meetings or drinks with coworkers. Long story short, LoDo has everything a company could want in a location!” - Lauren Arensdorf, Marketing Manager at Parkifi

CBRE’s take: “Lodo is the epicenter of what has become a world-class urban community. The transformation of Union Station, along with the mix of retail and multifamily options are attracting the best and brightest to our city, and as a result, technology companies are committing to bigger footprints.” - Alex Hammerstein, Senior Vice President, CBRE Occupier Advisory and Transaction Services, Technology and Media Practice
