What impact has government policy had on your life?

Whether it’s housing benefit cuts or the introduction of the living wage – tell us how you have been affected

The Guardian’s Hardworking Britain series, written by Frances Ryan, explores the impact of policy and politics on people’s daily lives – in recent months it has included the story of a woman who was rejected for personal independence payments while she was waiting for a double organ transplant; of another who set up a clothes bank to provide warm coats and children’s shoes to refugees and those in crisis; an account of a couple living with disability who challenged the introduction of the bedroom tax in the supreme court, and another about the implications of library closures for local communities.

Has a government policy affected you? We want to hear your stories. Has the introduction of the national living wage changed your life for the better? Or are you under 25 and ineligible – and as a result of its introduction – had your wages cut?

Maybe benefit delays and sanctions have meant turning to food banks, or have affected your life in other ways. Are you an NHS employee who will be dealing with changes such as the new junior doctors contract, or potential axing of nurses’ bursaries? Perhaps £9,000 tuition fees put you off attending university or meant that you experienced higher education in a different way to those who paid less in the past.
