Some SEO Tools You Should be Utilizing NOW !!!

I am often asked about the tools that I use to promote and publicize my listings. Well I guess the honest answer is that I use a number of different outlets to accomplish this. There are some that stand out for me, and they are probably the easiest to use. Lets take a look at some these sites.

Real Bird:

I have to say that for a single point listing tool Real Bird is hard to beat. In a short time Real Bird can assist you in getting your listings on a number of sites that will get it noticed. One of the things that I really like about Real Bird is that they seem to understand that you have to shift and evolve with the market and technology. They were one of the first to understand  the potential that using QR codes for our listings could be. They have great connectivity with Activerain, Twitter & Facebook. The tools they have in place make getting your listings onto Craigslist, kijihi and backpage as well. They also offer single page websites for your listings. If that is not enough, they offer free training webinars on how to best utilize Real Bird. If you are new or a veteran in the real estate game, you should be utilizing Real Bird

Postlets:

Here is another free listing site that offers quite a bit. What is great about Postlets is that is really a point and shoot operation. I believe you can get your listings up and noticed in an amazingly fast amount time with Postlets. Like Real Bird, your listings are automatically distributed to a myriad of listing partners. They are syndication partners with such sites as Trulia, FrontDoor, Overstock, & Zillow. Enter your listing information and away you go, they take care of the rest and supply with all the tools needed to maintain and manage those listings.

About.me

I really like about.me. It is like a one stop bio page, that you can connect to ton of social media pages, and email accounts etc. It allows you to add your a personal profile that you can point users to all over the web. I like it because you can track your twitter and facebook traffic with the click of a button. You can really see what is getting people interested in you and target that audience. Just go to the datastacks after you have created your profile. I am actually building this profile a little bit more each time go back. Remember it is all about building that online profile.

Free Press Release

Actually I have to thank our own ActiveRain Angel Kerrie for this one. She had a contest a bit back that involved press release sites. I really like this one because it is easy and it gets the message out. I have used it for specific pieces of information that I want to get "out there" In fact I am getting ready to use it for a big announcement for me in the next few days. I did a press release about our own Paula Hamilton, one of my all time best buds on AR and in a few short days over 400 people took notice and read the release. Now think about it, that was my first venture, since I have done others and am starting to understand the power in using this tool, and it is working. I like it because nobody thinks of using this type of tool to get exposure. Start, you will be glad you did.

Of course there are the major sites that we all know about and use regularly, but I wanted to get some of you newer folks to start taking a look at whats out there to really help you get your name, and what you do, what makes you different, why should consumers choose you tools to utilize. This is a big, big unending Internet to make use of. Get the most out of what you can.

Feel free to contact me for any assistance on how to promote yourself, or just any general SEO questions. It is a subject that I really love, and I am happy to share.

Wow, this is great stuff! I only knew about Postlets. I'm curious to hear how you think Zillow's acquisition of Postlets will affect the value of using the site.

BTW, I love Gettysburg too. I grew up in PA and loved Civil War history so I visited many times. I also graduated from SHIP and had some fraternity brothers from there too. Great town!

Gerry,

I have used Postlets for several years and noticed a change recently.  When I set up my flyer in Postlets and make it active, I always go back several days later and google the address to make sure that the listing has been forwarded to the other sites.  No problem.  But, with this last listing, Trulia, for example, had a good presentation but no reference to me as the contact for the listing.  When I clicked on "Contact Agent," several local buyer agents were listed as suggested contacts.

Thanks for sharing.  I've also used Real Bird, nice presentation, but I think it's better to have everything directing back to my own website.  Not sure what product would work best for this.  Any ideas?

RealBird offers some pretty awesome tools.  I'd also check out Paper.li for a way to create an online newsletter from your blog posts.
