Issue #0: 3.5 out of 5
When I went into this issue I thought I might get more of a back story on our protagonist. However I was treated to a nice off to the side kind of story that really fit nicely into this #0. A crossover with Enrico Teodorani’s Calavera, leads this one into a nice action packed ride of horror. The artwork is great at times, but there were a few spots here and there where I felt a panel may have been a little too over crowded to understand what was going on. The writing was pretty good as well. I didn’t find it as confusing as I did when I read #1 (See below), and the pace was nicely done to keep the action going. Overall a fun one-shot type of book.

Issue #1: 3.0 out of 5
I enjoyed the artwork but couldn’t get a handle on the story. I can say that the story does flow along the lines it is trying to, it just never got me to get what was going on. Overall I would say if you are a fan of the style check it out, it might be perfect for you. I like what this creative group has done with their other titles but I don’t think this one is for me.

Issue #2: 3.5 out of 5
An awesome cover starts this issue off with a bang! I love it because it has this Jason Voorhees/Michael Myer look to it. Opening up this issue I was treated to another round of work by Ju. In this issue he did a better job of presenting to me the characters from panel to panel. However there were still one or 2 where I did find them a little jumbled, but I liked it. This issue seemed to also approach a new way to present the story. The writing was more on my level. The action was still there from start to finish, but the dialogue was more on my level. Overall a nice issue that I got into pretty good.

Issue #3: 4.0 out of 5
The final chapter of the first arc leads in with a bang. Kudos to Ju for the nice recap inside this issue. If you found yourself confused with previous issues the recap sums it up nicely. Another great cover leads the way to some great interior panels. The highlight on the artwork in this one, were all of the 2 page spreads in it. Hopefully someone on the creative side is selling them as prints. The story here was right on point from start to finish. Ju really seemed to grow over the past issues to get a good handle on the dialogue here. It was clear and I was able to grasp everything that was presented to me. With a strong finish I can easily suggest coming back for more. Great job on this one.
