November 5&6 - Yoga Dharma and the Four Noble Truths

A weekend of asana and dharma.  Theory and experience are the two wings of the learning process.  We must experience for ourselves what many have been saying for millennia about what freedom, samadhi, or nirvana is. 

The Four Truths of Noble Ones as defined by the Buddha, circa 500BCE is the lynch-pin of the Dharma.  This will be our map for practices engendering connection with the heart, body and mind.

Grades k-2

Kids 5-7 (or grades K-2): This class will introduce children to yoga through play.
Various songs, games, and community building exercises will help children in this age group sharpen their developing skills such as ability to pay attention and follow directions, creative storytelling, and ability to self soothe through breath. Most important, children will learn to associate fun with taking care of their bodies.
The first 15 minutes of every class will be spent getting settled in and arriving. Parents should plan to drop off the kids for this event.

 Just six more prenatal classes to finish 2016.

She will introduce concepts of essentialism and "The Art of Stillness" and will focus on techniques to help you being and maintain your meditation practice.
