West Town will showcase its thriving art scene at the 5
th annual West Town Art Walk, October 2
nd and 3
rd. Presented by the West Town Chamber of Commerce, Dovetail and Seek Vintage, this unique fest celebrates art in all forms - visual, musical, culinary, fashion - within dozens of shops along Chicago Avenue in the heart of West Town (from Milwaukee Avenue to Western Avenue).

alkers while enjoying an arts bonanza. The West Town Art Walk features everything from a
rtistic spins on classic cocktails to full blown pop-up-galleries. The neighborhood-wide event takes place within West Town storefronts, everything from restaurants to boutiques, wit
h free rickshaws providing aid to tired feet!
Live Art Making: Chicago Truborn and featured artists will be live on site at 1612 W. Chicago where you can watch them transform an old store front into an amazing work of art - live!

Within the Festival site (no street closure for this festival) on Chicago Ave
nue between Wood and Paulina on the North side of street, a number of Food
Trucks will pull up and park along the curb on the street next to the sidewalk. The hours for the food trucks to operate are Friday, October 2nd from 5pm-8pm, and Saturday, October 3rd from 12pm-8pm.

On Saturday, October 3
rd from 10 am to 1 pm, the West Town Art Walk and
Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art will present the brand new "Art That
Walks" parade. Art walkers of all ages are invited to gather at Eckhart Park 1330 W. Chicago Avenue, where they can test their own artistic creativity by making colorful masks, costumes and accessories from 10 am to noon.
Thereafter from noon to 1 pm they will participate in a parade down Chicago Avenue sidewalks, transforming the neighborhood into a
living, walking work of art by touting their own unique flair.
"Given the art supplies and inspiration, every person is capable of creating works of beauty and enchantment,"said artist Hugh Musick, who conceived the Art That Walks parade.
