Waiting on God teaches Us

eagel1

Isaiah 40:31 says:-But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. This verse says that waiting brings us something unexpected. Waiting strengthens us, helps us to endure, and renew in us something much greater.
Waiting on something or someone is one of the most difficult things to do in this life. We wait at traffic lights, we wait at the restaurant, we wait for an appointment, we wait at the supermarkets, we wait on our paychecks from work, we wait for retirement, we wait in sickness for our healing and we wait for answers. But waiting teaches us something, it prepares us and creates in us a new man, or a new creature. It creates a man of God who can endure things, a person who has learned humility, a person who has learned to be patient, and a person of obedience.
The Lord tells us in: Psalm 27:14 says: Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Waiting on God and His perfect timing gives us hope and something even greater, Patience. Waiting allows us to wait with expectation of what is sure to come. We learn how to be humble because a person of pride wants what he wants and doesn’t think he needs to wait on anything or anyone. Waiting teaches us to endure some things. Sometimes we must wait for hardship or trials to leave us. Waiting on our trials to be over helps us to learn to rely on God and trust in him. Waiting strengthens us and creates a stronger and more obedient Christian.

About Tracy K

I am a born again believer who has taught Sunday School, Women's Meetings and written blogs and books for the purpose of the ministry. My sole purpose is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe Jesus, the son of God, died on a cross for the sins of the whole world. I believe he arose after three days and now sits on the right side of God in Heaven. I believe Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation. Without Jesus, there is no remissions of sins:

Glad it helped! Love this scripture: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. – Isaiah 40:31
