North Liberty police are searching for a man reported missing Monday morning.

Police told KCRG-TV9 family members reported 37-year-old Michael Graham was last seen in a parking lot near his place of work between Hawkeye Drive and Highway 965 in North Liberty.

Police say his family received text messages from him saying he'd been tied up and forced into the trunk of his vehicle.

In a Facebook post, his wife said police around 1:15 p.m. were able to ping his cellphone at the border of Keokuk and Washington counties, but have since lost his location and believe the phone is turned off.

He was driving a black Volkswagen Jetta, with the Iowa license plate ELL-592.

On June 6 police said family members have recently received text messages from Graham's phone number. At this time, his location is still unknown and the circumstances of his disappearance cannot be confirmed.

The department continues to follow up on several tips and leads to locate Graham.
