UPTOWN — The Aragon Ballroom will be transformed into jazzy casino featuring food, drinks and a performance from the Alyssa Allgood Jazz Quintet in November.
The fundraiser for Uptown United and Business Partners, the Chamber for Uptown will take place from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at the venue at 1106 W. Lawrence Ave., according to a press release for the event.
Casino Uptown is the "one time each year we ask for the community to help support our work," which includes Argyle Night Market, Taste of Uptown, Ribfest and Uptown Saturday Nights, the release said.
Games include poker, blackjack, roulette and craps. Food will be provided by Sun Wah BBQ, 5039 N. Broadway, and Fat Cat, 4840 N. Broadway.
Tickets are $55 in advance or $65 at the door and include food, two drink tickets and 25 casino chips. They can be bought here.
Parking for the event is free at the Aragon parking lot on the southeast corner of Lawrence Avenue and Winthrop Avenue.
