National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) gives participants the confidence, knowledge and leadership skills to run their units' program. NYLT will allow participants to share ideas and experiences with their Scouting peers. It will provide an opportunity to experience Scouting at its best, enhance the relationship between the participant and his or her adult leaders, and be lots of fun for every participant.

The Boy Scouts of America, Mid-America Council is honored to offer this scholarship opportunity to four Scouts for NYLT. Scholarships are each valued at $225. We're presenting the scholarships in memory of Josh Fennen, Aaron Eilerts, Sam Thomsen, and Ben Petrzilka and also honoring the other Scouts who demonstrated the ultimate leadership skills at Pahuk Pride in 2008.

The deadline to apply is February 15. You can drop the applications off at the Durham Scout Center, Sioux City Scout Center, emailed to Erin Glidden, faxed to 402. 431.0444 to Erin Glidden's attention  or sent through postal mail. If you bring the applications to the office, you must do so by February 12, as the offices are closed on February 15. If mailed, the postmark must be no later than February 15.
