Greenbelt Police Reveal St. Patrick’s Day Enforcement Stats
The Greenbelt Police increased their enforcement on St. Patrick's Day conducting more than 50 traffic stops resulting in more than 60 citations.

Greenbelt Officers conducted more than, warnings and repair orders. They made four driving under the influence arrests, three driving with a suspended license arrest and one for driving without a license.
There were seven hours of stepped up enforcement through the night and seven additional officers patrolling the streets. This increased enforcement was made possible through a $16,000 Community Safety Grant from the Maryland Highway Safety Office for the fiscal year 2011.
