Week three in our weekly meet the team feature - up this time is artist Greg Kolodzian!

I'm Greg Kolodzian, a 3d modeler/texture artist on SWORD OF THE STARS 2.
What does a 3d modeler/texture artist do?
I get to design, model and texture most of the Zuul ships in the game, based on the established style.
What are some of your favorite games of all time? (not counting your own)
That's a really tough one but I would have to go with Half-Life, Farcry , Warcraft 3 and Commandos 1 & 2.
How did you get started in the games industry?
Ever since I was young I've been doing some sort or artwork. I got into digital at a pretty young age. By playing
around in Photoshop and teaching myself. I first developed an interest in doing 3D after playing the original
Command and Conquer. A few years after graduating high school I decided it was something I wanted to do
and decided to go to school for it. I briefly worked in 2d animation as a background artist before getting in to the
game industry after that.
Favorite thing about making games
I like designing and creating things that I would never get to do in the real world.
The best thing about working at Kerberos is...
I work with a great group of guys and very skilled artists. I learnt a lot from them on this project.
What is your favorite race/faction in Sword of the Stars II?
I would probably have to go with Humans and Zuul. I like the travel speed of the humans and the heavy
firepower of the Zuul.
Are you a warmonger or a diplomat?
It really depends on the situation but overall I'm pretty balanced.
Favorite feature of Sword of the Stars II?
I really like the new level of detail. It allows us to push the designs much further than before. I also like the new
leviathans
Type of music you like most?
I listen to a lot of different stuff. Movie soundtracks are great for working too. Lately I've been going through a lot
of foreign radio stations though, just getting a taste of something new.
