38th Season of Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival Now on Sale

Tickets are now on sale for Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival (CCCMF)'s 38th season as Cape Cod's premiere presenter of summer chamber music. Twelve compelling concerts will be performed at venues across the Cape from August 1 through 25. Early purchases are recommended for discount tickets (available through June 30) and packages, limited to capacity.

The Festival's 38th season is sure to delight audiences with its stellar performing artists, diverse repertoire, intimate venues, and variety and unique pairings of instruments. Artistic Directors Jon Nakamatsu and Jon Manasse, and Executive Director Elaine Lipton, now all in their 11th season with the Festival, eagerly look forward to August. Manasse and Nakamatsu, exceptional musicians internationally recognized for their gifts on clarinet and piano, respectively, will each perform during the Festival.

Flute and harp duo Kairos, based at New England Conservatory, performs at a CCCMF pre-season concert at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater's Summer Music Festival, 2357 Old Route 6 Road, Wellfleet, on Tuesday, July 11, 8 pm. Prestigious performing artists are seen throughout the Festival programming, including the return of world renowned ensemble Emerson String Quartet in their fifth consecutive appearance performing two beloved string quartets in "Beethoven the Master." Artistic Directors Manasse and Nakatmatsu join world-renowned wind virtuosi and rising chamber stars in "The Power of Wind," featuring performances of works by Mendelssohn, Beethoven and Mozart. The star-studded season culminates with Ying Quartet's final ensemble-in-residence performance of The Brahms Quintets, a breathtaking finale offering two of chamber music's most celebrated clarinet and piano masterworks, performed by the Ying Quartet with Artistic Directors Manasse and Nakamatsu.

Hailed by The New York Times as "A Triumph of Quality," the Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival (CCCMF) has been a year-round presenter of chamber music and a major contributor to the cultural life of Cape Cod since its inception in 1979. Founded as the Cape & Islands Chamber Music Festival by the late collaborative pianist Samuel Sanders, the Festival continues his legacy. Now entering its 38th season, CCCMF presents four weeks of intensive chamber music programming in a variety of Cape locations in July and August. Throughout the rest of the year, CCCMF presents autumn and spring concerts, a community outreach program, and benefit concerts in New York and on Cape Cod. Hoping to ignite the interest of a younger audience, CCCMF welcomes all youth up to age 18 to attend any regular concert free of charge.
