Burbank International Film Festival

The Annual Burbank International Film & Music Festival, held on September 10-17, 2011, in Burbank, California, is a gathering of filmmakers and musicians that celebrates the fine art of film and music. The significant world-class music component of the festival, which takes place throughout the festival, culminating on September 17 with a battle of the bands, is designed to showcase original music vision and artistic wizardry of talented individuals and groups from across The United States and the world. Appoximately 5 Sonicbids artists will be selected for the Battle of the Bands, with potential prizes including Sennheiser microphones and recordings from Aderra. If possible, compensation will be made to the selected artists.



The music showcase is for emerging, up-and-coming unsigned performing artists and bands. Vocal performers may be a solo, duo, trio, quartet or an ensemble. Genres accepted include everything from rock to pop, jazz to country, R&B, Latin, blues, folk to world and more.



Participating in the Burbank International Film & Music Festival will provide artists and bands with exposure to film and music and film industry professionals who have the ability, connections and influence to help jump start careers. Past performers have signed valuable licensing deals at the festival and have subsequently had their music featured in several award winning films. Last year, over 20,000 people attended the festival.



This year's sponsors include Clear Channel Outdoor, Fuji Film, New York Film Academy, as well as local businesses.
