Groundhog in the garden
Sherman Plaza @ Broadway
*******************
July Potluck Dinner, Saturday, July 9  5pm

Gardening, Sunday 10th starting Noon

RING has its own groundhog (or woodchuck). It's over a foot long, keeps to itself and is in the squirrel family.  We also have nesting robins.
When using our locks, PLEASE don't leave them dangling in an open position or leave them on the concrete walls.  We have lost locks this way!  If you see one in this condition, please lock it to the gate.  Thanks!

A very large building (a square block and maybe as high as 18 floors) is slated for development at the corner of Sherman and Broadway, former site of the historic Packard car showroom back in the day and across the street from Ft. Tryon Park, a landmarked Frederic Law Olmsted park. Many Inwoodites have been working to prevent this from happening (in the Facebook Inwood Preservation group).

This is their Petition to the City Council which votes on Tuesday to ask that there be no spot upzoning of this site.

Come bring yourself, maybe a friend or neighbor, and some food or drink to share (say with five people).
Gardening Sunday
Starting at Noon
We've ordered some special perennials to plant, and have other gardening tasks to complete.  Alison and Maggie will be on hand Sunday for orientation and training.
