In today's age, the use of mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets are more and more prevalent. It's found that 1 in 3 children are using these devices now.

However, it's in today's digital era that Creep Catchers has evolved. 

Over the last few months. They have demonstrated a lack of accountability, transparency, and morals, to the point that they are now compromising active investigations by the RCMP and falsely accusing upstanding citizens of being a Pedophile.

Some examples of these are as follows

• Darrel Berekoff - A Surrey man falsely accused by the Surrey chapter of Creep Catchers
• Katelynn Ariel McKnight's - A Mentally ill woman who was sexually assaulted as a a child and falsely accused by the Edmonton chapter of Creep Catchers
• A Calgary Man accused of being a Pedophile - Who came forward to CBC after being accused by the Calgary Branch of Creep Catchers.

As you can see the group has a history of making mistakes. Mistakes that have cost people dearly and in some case their life. In a nutshell these people are participating in cyber bullying, which is illegal in Canada. 

Definition of Cyber Bullying

Cyber bullying is a type of harassment using new technology. Whether it is criminal harassment depends on the facts of a case. Cyberbullies use social media (such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube), blogs, texting, instant messaging, and other internet avenues to engage in deliberate, repeated, and hostile conduct intended to harm, embarrass, or slander someone. Although their work is public, cyberbullies are often anonymous and it is often harder to identify and stop them.

Cyber bullying may also be defamation. The Criminal Code (section 300) outlaws publishing a defamatory libel – material published, without lawful justification or excuse, likely to injure the reputation of any person by exposing them to hatred, contempt or ridicule, or designed to insult the person.

So I ask each of you to sign this petition that will be submitted to the Honorable Justin Trudeau, and the RCMP. In short this petition aims to stop the tactics that Creep Catchers uses to Cyber Bully innocent victims.
