As we all know, after Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, America attempts to quench its bottomless thirst for consumption with Cyber Monday. Fitting then, that you can start filling out forms for the ultimate deal on Monday: an affordable apartment in the first building of the Domino Sugar Factory development.

The housing lottery that opens Monday is for apartments at 325 Kent Avenue. There are studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedroom apartments available, which you might be eligible for based on your income. For the cheapest apartments in the building, $596/month studios, you'll need to be a single person making between $21,772 and $25,400 per year.

There are only 6 of those studios though, so good luck. Otherwise there are 8 one-bedrooms for $640/month, two 2 bedrooms for $775/month, 34 more studios for $754/month, 41 one-bedroom for $810/month and 13 two-bedroom for $979/month, open to households whose incomes range from $23,280 to $54,360. You can apply for one of the apartments between Monday and January 20th, 2017 through the city's Housing Connect website.

Amenities in the building include bike storage and a gym (for a price), and eventually, a waterfront park along the East River. You'll also get to live in an area that's slated to be a construction site for the next decade as the rest of the development's 2,284 residential units are built, but I guess there's a trade-off for everything in life.
