Shaun the Sheep MOVIE Hits Theaters August 5th Plus GIVEAWAY #ShauntheSHeep #IC #Sponsored 8/108/2/2015 ***Disclosure: I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Lionsgate. I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation. All opinions are my own.***
Do your little ones love animals? Mine sure do! It probably helps that we have a zoo here, with both little dogs and cats in our family. All 3 of my kids absolutely adore their furry "siblings", and have an uncanny knack for connecting with their 4-legged pals.
Anyway, when my children learned that "Shaun the Sheep MOVIE" will be hitting theaters in just a few short days, they were beyond excited. And they asked if we could get a pet sheep. That's another post entirely, though. (No, we will not be getting a sheep, although I think a day trip to Ohio's beautiful Amish Country will be in our near future!) "Shaun the Sheep MOVIE" blazes onto the big screen everywhere on August 5, 2015. This fun-filled animated feature is made by the awesome, talented folks that created the classic "Wallace & Gromit".
Here's the official synopsis:
When Shaun decides to take the day off and have some fun, he gets a little more action than he bargained for. A mix up with the Farmer, a caravan, and a very steep hill lead them all to the Big City and it’s up to Shaun and the flock to return everyone safely to the green grass of home. The film is geared toward children ages 4-10. Check out the trailer here. Now be forewarned, there is a good bit of "Potty Humor". Nothing I wouldn't allow my kids to see, though. This includes belching noises and other similar things that are sure to induce uncontrollable laughter in children.
We really like the animation used for "Shaun the Sheep MOVIE". It features a fun, almost 3D claymation look, and is also full of varying textures. It's definitely eye-catching, and is sure to keep kids interested and engaged.
Awesome animation aside, this movie looks like loads of fun for the entire family. We really loved getting a sneak peek at the characters. Our favorite would HAVE to be little Timmy. He reminds us a lot of our little Xander. He is mischievous, and loves to follow his sister around, much like Timmy follows Shaun! Check him out below:
This movie looks absolutely adorable, and I love the emphasis on teamwork and friendship. My kids, of course, love the adventure, laughter, and adorable flock of sheep.
We will definitely be heading to theaters to see "Shaun the Sheep MOVIE" on August 5th when it makes it's debut in theaters everywhere!
