Sick of paying unfair parking tickets in LA? The Fixed app can help.

Guys! Have you received one too many bullshit parking tickets during your time in this fair city? Well, turns out there's an app for that.

Fixed will take a look at your ticket and contest it if there any mistakes; which apparently happens pretty often. The app insists that 50% of LA parking tickets have errors that make them invalid—things like omissions of required information, incorrect details, not checking to see that a posted sign is within 100 feet of your car, etc. And apparently, 50% of tickets are dismissed when contested.

Once you download the app, you can enter your license plate number and set Fixed up to "auto contest" any ticket you receive (which works out nicely if you're forgetful, because if the ticket stands, the app will automatically pay it for you). If you're too much of a control freak to let the app go to town on your tix without your consent, you can also manually submit a snapshot of your tickets as you get them, and the app will scan them for errors.

You must enter your credit card info when you sign up, which made us feel a little weird, but according to Fixed, there are no upfront fees. They charge 35% of the fine if you win, or a $1.95 convenience fee to pay the ticket if you lose.

Here's the deal. You can absolutely read up on ticket errors and look for them yourself, contest the ticket yourself and keep all that money you won't be paying the city government. But let's be honest—you probably won't. Fixed is free to use, and it seems like they're finding mistakes the layperson won't. And as far as we can tell, the only way you walk away from a ticket losing extra money is if you end up having to pay said ticket, and then it's just the $1.95 convenience fee. But that fee seems pretty paltry when compared to late fees on tickets, something Fixed's auto-pay will protect you from.

We're sold! What do you think?
