UPDATE: June 24, 2017 at 11:59 A.M.

Almost every season, Oreo releases new, special-edition flavored cookies that usually wind up flying off the shelves. After all, how can you not wonder what Cinnamon Roll, Jelly Donut, or Peeps-flavored Oreos taste like?

This summer is no exception, and while we've already seen Blueberry Pie Oreos back on shelves, now junk-food account Unwrapped Daily is announcing Key Lime Pie Oreos have made a comeback too.

The tart, pie-inspired cookies were first launched as a special-edition flavor in the summer of 2015, and haven't been spotted much since.

So far, they've come back to Winn-Dixie and Walmart, but keep an eye out at grocery stores and even CVS, where they usually roll out.

While Oreo was busy giving everyone the skinny on its new Thin cookies, the company quietly dropped another limited-edition flavor: Key Lime Pie. That's right, the summery dessert is now a Nabisco snack and it has only just hit store shelves.

The new treat was born from two blockbuster flavors: The Limeade release from last summer and the brand new permanent flavor, S'mores. Limeade lends its lime cream filling—which was sandwiched between the brand's golden cookies—while the marshmallow-chocolate S'mores edition offers up the graham cracker cookie.

We'll happily welcome this flavor to our local grocery stores because summer pies are the best pies. Unless you're on team cake. And in that case, you're on your own—just like Garry / Jerry / Larry.
