Success for the school district
Rio Rancho public schools have completed two ground-mounted solar arrays at Cleveland and Rio Rancho High Schools. Each system is approximately 1,200-kilowatts and consists of more than 4,000 solar panels. Together they are expected to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions equal to taking 632 passenger cars off the road.
What became a successful project – started literally “rocky” – we saw a lot of refusals which had to be corrected in a timely fashion.
Fixed tilt and tracker combination
The project had quite some additional challenges – besides the fact that everybody needed to be background checked – we also had to install blocks of tables, rows from two different systems. One a single axis tracker and the other one a fixed tilt system, so our diverse group of installers had to adapt each and every day to get the job executed.

It was great to see how the teams we brought to this project gelled together which is the challenge by itself. We had to work on both sites simultaneously for a little bid then bringing the guys together to split them later on again. So they all had to work together given the changing daily routines to make this a success.
Great project using great products
This project produced great pictures which were used for multiple ads in Solar magazines. We guess the scenery and the great products just morphed together perfectly in those pictures.
