Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival 37th season presents four remaining concerts through August 25 culminating in an intriguing collection of vocal and instrumental performances, featuring Chatham Chorale Chamber Singers and celebrity chamber music ensemble The Ying Quartet, amongst others.

In A Mass at the Opera, the little-known Gioachino Rossini masterwork Petite Messe Solenelle takes center stage in its first Festival premiere. Composed for piano, harmonium (organ), chamber choir and four vocal soloists, the work is more opera than mass, demonstrating the splendor of Rossini at his best. Hear unforgettable tune after tune of brilliant chamber writing crafted by The Chatham Chorale Chamber Singers under the masterful baton of Conductor Joe Marchio, with phenomenal soloists Ilana Davidson, soprano, Lara Nie, alto, William Ferguson, tenor and Tyler Duncan, bass, accompanied by CCCMF Co-Artistic Director Jon Nakamatsu, piano and Donald Enos, organ. The concert performs on Friday, August 18, 7:30 pm at First Congregational Church, 200 Main Street, Wellfleet.

Celebrity chamber music ensemble Ying Quartet stays in residency during the Festival's final week in its debut appearance, with three diverse concert programs.

On Monday, August 21 at 7:30 pm, the concert The Ying Quartet offers Beethoven's monumental C Major String Quartet caps off a stunning evening of both subtlety and fireworks. The concert performs at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 204 Monument Road, Orleans.

The Art of Song, on Wednesday, August 23, 7:30 pm is held at Chatham Congregational Church, 650 Main Street. An evening of enchanting lyricism awaits as CCCMF's Artistic Directors Jon Manasse and Jon Nakamatsu join soprano Ilana Davidson and members of the Ying Quartet to explore the genius and melodic invention of Mozart, Schubert and Mendelssohn.

The season comes to a brilliant close with The Brahms Quintets on Friday, August 25, 7:30 pm at Wellfleet Congregational Church, 200 Main Street. This breathtaking finale features two of chamber music's most celebrated masterworks: The Clarinet Quintet and the Piano Quintet of Johannes Brahms performed by the Ying Quartet, together with Artistic Directors Manasse and Nakamatsu.

The Ying Quartet occupies a position of unique prominence in the classical music world, combining brilliantly communicative performances with a fearlessly imaginative view of chamber music in today's world. Now in its second decade, the Quartet has established itself as an ensemble of the highest musical qualifications in its tours across the United States and abroad. Their performances regularly take place in many of the world's most important concert halls, from Carnegie Hall to the Sydney Opera House. At the same time, the Quartet's belief that concert music can also be a meaningful part of everyday life has also drawn the foursome to perform in settings as diverse as the workplace, schools, juvenile prisons, and the White House.
