Joey Boots, ‘Howard Stern Show’ personality, dies at 49

Joey Boots — a popular member of “The Howard Stern Show” – was found dead in his Bronx apartment Friday night, police said.

The radio star, whose real is name Joseph Bassolino, was 49.

Police were called to his Grand Concourse pad after fellow “Howard Stern Show” personality High Pitch Erik failed to get in touch in Boots, police sources said.

Cops found Boots sitting in front of his computer.

Boots, who suffered from diabetes, was declared dead at the scene.

His body showed no signs of trauma and it’s believed he died of natural causes, sources said.

The city medical examiner will determine his cause of death.

Friends and coworkers took to twitter to express their grief.

User @memetwalker, who worked with Boots, tweeted, “.@JoeyBoots wasn’t a Wack Packer to me… he was a genuine friend. I’m gonna miss you like hell, buddy.”

Another friend @jdharm wrote, “He was a true Stern Show soldier. R.I.P. @JoeyBoots”
