Indie Beauty Expo 2018 Experience + Haul

Today, I wanted to share my Indie Beauty Expo 2018 experience as well as a small haul with you all! The expo was fun, overwhelming at times, and really exciting to experience! I went with my new friend, Adri Lately. It was great to experience an event with someone else as I’m not big on going to events alone. They just are not as fun solo. Anyway, I made an entire video sharing my thoughts on the event and a small haul of samples I received from some of the exhibitors!

Things I Loved About Indie Beauty Expo 2018:

• Wonderful variety of exhibitors with unique products to discover
• A beautiful, immersive event with a fun environment
• Great chance to meet face to face with brands I’ve only corresponded with via email
• Fab opportunity to explore new and upcoming beauty and wellness brands
• A great event to attend with friends and shop for beauty products at a great discount

Things I Didn’t Like: 

• Too loud and overwhelming environment. The pink/violet lights gave me a headache after a few hours.
• Snack bar charged for snacks which seemed like a cash grab and turned me off to the event.
• So many vendors that everyone began to homogenize in my brain. There was way too much stuff to take in during only a few hours.
• A blurred line between which indie brands were clean ones and which were not. I wish that line was more defined either by exhibitor placement or more exclusivity for brands in this specific event. I think it would be a lot better if it was only green beauty brands, but that’s just a personal preference!
