Retired Magistrate Jerry Seales considers himself privileged to be of service to Grenada. Upholding law and order for the protection of people.

This is according to Seales in a release issued today.

He says he has never wavered in carrying out his duty.

Seales tendered his resignation last Tuesday and has taken his vacation leave which runs until April 5, the effective date of his retirement.

Over a span of 12 years Seales served in the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Magisterial Districts.

He is grateful to the people of Grenada for giving him the opportunity to serve to the best of his ability.

Seales has often had long running battles particularly with bus drivers and conductors, at often times sparking protests and sometimes concern among members of the bar association.

May this year, Seales will be marking his 30th anniversary as a lawyer.

He has adjudicated over 7,000 cases during his tenure.

The retired magistrate says despite receiving some complaints for his hard adherence to the law, he’s highly appreciated by fellow lawmakers who share his belief in implementing the law for the greater good and not compromising for the sake of the few.
